Island Survival Story - Alan Xiao (Shanghai Nanmo Private High School)

Hi! This is Alan Xiao. I left Shanghai Nanmo Private High School three months ago and am now studying Engineering at the University of Victoria. Life here is definitely “fantabulous”! The campus is big and I have lots of freedom. However, university life is also challenging for me.

Graduation is Really Just a Beginning - Daniel Chen (Luwan Senior High School)

Most of you guys, especially the Grade 12s now, must have gotten into the habit of going over tests the nights right before the exams. I had this bad habit a year ago as well, and sometimes I was able to get full mark for biology and chemistry using this method. However, from the first month experience in the university, I guarantee that the “One-night miracle” strategy does not work at all.

Star Students
Star Student - Amanda (Jiaxing Senior High School)

Hello everyone! At the beginning of the new school year, a diversity of outstanding students appeared in BCOS, especially Amanda Batista, the student star in September from Grade 12. Despite the fierce competition of university applications throughout the whole year, Amanda is still capable of keeping great academic performance, getting along with Grade 10 students and passionately teaching them new words, so that those students can gain an effective transition into high school.

Star Student - Aiden Zhou (CSW)

Time flies quickly, the first month has already gone from now. Students in CSW experienced an exciting month with some interesting activities like Terry Fox Run as well as the tug of war. However, the most exciting event among all things is the announcement of Star Student.

Star Student - Anita (Luwan Senior High School)

Anita, the monitor of our class, has a strong sense of responsibility, and is warm-hearted, kind, and easy-going.

Anita always helps our classmate with academic questions or any other daily trifles. When we face some difficulties in studying or in life, she always gives us a hand without any complaints or hesitations until it achieved completely. Once I had encountered some difficulties with a math problem. She came to me and explained the questions to me patiently until I understood. Thanks to her, I used the same method on the exam and got a good academic performance.
