Expanding education relationships has proven to further economic, cultural, and diplomatic relationships between countries on many levels. In 2010, the Province of Alberta renewed its agreement with China to extend cooperation between the respective ministries of education.

We are pleased to be able to offer the Alberta curriculum at all grade levels. Rated as one of the best education system in the world, students attending the Alberta curriculum repeatedly ranked among the top in academic performance on the OECD Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) in areas of Language Arts, Mathematics and Science.

Alberta’s education system strives to develop students’ overall abilities while maintaining flexibility in developing their skills based on their learning preferences. Core subjects in the Program are English, Social Studies, Mathematics, Science, and Physical Education. Students are also allowed to choose elective programs while meeting the requirements for graduation. Similar to the BC Global Education Program, Grade 12 students are eligible to take provincial exams on core subjects in order to meet the graduation requirement. The high school certificate from Province of Alberta is recognized by post-secondary institutions world-wide.
